Machael Eckersley Lecture - Extra Credit

Michael Eckersley's lecture was not at all what I had expected, but was definitely a pleasant surprise! I felt like he had a very unique way of looking at things. Michael talked about Marc Newson, and how the form, the idea, the people, and the system were key to good design. Michael showed us several video projects that some of his students had put together, and they were very interesting to watch. They used very simple, but effective, techniques to help figure out easier ways to do things, and focus directly on us as people. The video that stood out to me with this was the last one he played for us with the students devising a smart way for people to text whilst driving, since it's become such a problem today, and they tested it in a very clever way! All in all I thought the lecture was both enjoyable and educational, I can't wait to see what other exciting guest speakers we have in store for us this year!
